The best time for wildlife viewing in Kenya is during the dry seasons: January to March and June to October. The famous wildebeest migration in Masai Mara occurs between July and October. However, Kenya is a year-round destination with different experiences in each season.
We recommend a minimum of 3-4 days for a single park safari. For a more comprehensive experience covering multiple parks, 7-10 days is ideal. This allows enough time to experience the diversity of landscapes and wildlife without feeling rushed.
Essential items include lightweight, neutral-colored clothing (avoid bright colors), a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket or sweater for early mornings and evenings, and a camera with extra batteries and memory cards.
Most visitors to Kenya require a visa. E-visas can be obtained online before travel through the official Kenya E-Visa portal. We recommend applying at least a week before your trip. We can provide guidance on the visa application process.
